As a CPA, you’re pulled in many directions. Accounting, auditing, compliance and business valuations. Then there’s financial management and reporting, forensic analysis, and so on. You’re expected to add greater value to your existing business relationships while increasing the number of clients you currently manage.
Furthermore, there’s continuing education, seminars, meetings, conferences, workshops, etc. demanding your participation and attention. On top of that, if you own or run the firm, your situation is further complicated with additional entrepreneurial responsibilities. Human resources, payroll, property and office management, employee benefits, etc.
These obligations and commitments require your time. This says nothing of the time your family and loved ones need. Your personal interests and all that matters most to you in your life inevitably takes a back seat. Everyone suffers.
